One ordinary Forever stamp is enough to mail an eligible standard one-ounce First-Class Mail letter from another U.S. state to Hawaii. Hawaii is a U.S. state, so USPS treats this as domestic mail—not international mail. Weight, dimensions, shape and added services can still require more postage.

When One Stamp Is Not Enough
- The sealed letter weighs more than one ounce.
- The envelope is square, rigid, lumpy or otherwise nonmachinable.
- The item is a large envelope, package or another mail category.
- You add Certified Mail, insurance or another paid service.
- The destination is outside the United States rather than Hawaii.
