- Select the destination: check country availability, price group, and current service alerts.
- Identify the mailpiece: postcard, letter, large envelope, or package.
- Measure and weigh it: use the sealed piece, including inserts and packaging.
- Check shape and flexibility: square, rigid, nonrectangular, or uneven pieces may receive a surcharge or different classification.
- Check contents: merchandise, restricted items, and packages can require customs information and another service.

- Build the stamp combination: add the current values and meet or slightly exceed the required total.
Letter and Postcard Size Boundaries
