The principal new USPS Christmas Forever issue for 2021 was A Visit From St. Nick. It contains four Santa Claus designs in a double-sided booklet of 20. USPS also issued Otters in Snow as a separate four-design winter holiday booklet. Older religious and seasonal designs could still appear in 2021 sales, but they are not 2021-dated issues.

This table separates an explicitly Christmas issue from a broader winter design. It does not relabel Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Day of the Dead or earlier Christmas designs as new 2021 Christmas stamps.
A Visit From St. Nick
USPS issued the stamps in Santa Claus, Indiana. The four vertical designs form a short Christmas Eve sequence:
- Santa stands on a snowy rooftop with one leg in the chimney.
- Santa descends through the chimney above the hearth.
- A close-up shows a winking Santa.
- Santa and four reindeer cross the full moon in a sleigh.
Art director Greg Breeding designed the stamps using original illustrations by Brad Woodard. USPS printed 400 million stamps in the booklet format.
Otters in Snow
Issued in Otter, Montana, this booklet shows four North American river otters in snowy scenes: emerging from icy water, sliding tail-first, sliding belly-up and standing chest-deep in snow. Derry Noyes designed the stamps with pen-and-ink and watercolor artwork by John Burgoyne. It is a winter holiday option, not a Santa or religious Christmas issue.
Were There New Religious Christmas Stamps in 2021?
USPS’s Christmas stamp history identifies A Visit From St. Nick as the 2021 entry. Religious Christmas designs from prior years could remain available or circulate through retailers, but their continued sale does not change their original issue year. Check the exact official name and date rather than assuming every stamp sold during the 2021 season was issued that year.
Are 2021 Forever Stamps Still Valid?
Yes. Genuine unused A Visit From St. Nick and Otters in Snow Forever stamps retain the current ordinary one-ounce First-Class Mail letter-rate value. Current postal validity is separate from USPS inventory status and collector value.
How to Verify a 2021 Listing
- Match the official issue name, artwork sequence and booklet-of-20 format.
- Confirm whether a seller offers a complete booklet, partial booklet or loose stamps.
- Do not treat generic Christmas stickers, labels or stationery as postage.
- For collection value, compare the exact condition and format; an old face price does not determine resale value.
