What the 2024 artwork shows
Ekua Holmes created the original artwork after seeing a live Kwanzaa performance. A male drummer and two female dancers form the central scene. Black, red and green—the colors of the Pan-African flag—appear throughout the figures and setting, while West African-inspired patterning appears in the floor, background and clothing.
USPS art director Ethel Kessler designed the stamp around Holmes’s collage-like visual language. This is the 2024 design and should not be confused with the different artwork used for earlier Kwanzaa issues.
How the 100-stamp quantity is assembled
The original USPS format is a pane of 20. Five complete panes equal the 100 stamps in this listing, so the retailer quantity can be checked directly against the official issue format.
| Quantity | Equivalent format |
|---|---|
| 20 stamps | One original pane |
| 40 stamps | Two original panes |
| 100 stamps | Five original panes |
