What Makes the Stamps Feel Different

A special coating was applied to selected printed areas to mimic recognizable ball textures. Details include baseball stitching, golf-ball dimples, tennis seams, soccer and volleyball panels, and the raised patterns associated with footballs, basketballs and kickballs.

The coating is a design feature, not a guarantee that every older pane will retain an identical tactile feel after storage and handling.

Design Credits

Stamp artist Daniel Nyari and designer Mike Ryan worked with USPS art director Greg Breeding to create the eight images. The round shape reinforces the subject without changing how the stamps are used as postage.

Why This Listing Has 80 Stamps

The official pane contains 16 stamps. Five complete panes therefore equal 80, not 100. This format keeps the original two-of-each design distribution intact.

Mailing Use

Each genuine, unused stamp covers the current one-ounce First-Class Mail letter rate. A heavier, square, rigid, oversized or international mailpiece can require additional postage. The round die cut and sports artwork do not change the postal service.

Use the postage decision guide for mail outside the ordinary one-ounce domestic letter format.

Who These Stamps Suit
