Four Holiday Window Scenes

A single burning candle on a window sill
A simple star ornament hanging in a window
A brightly lit indoor Christmas tree seen from outside
A snow-covered wreath in front of a frosted window

Across five booklets, the 100-stamp pack contains 25 copies of each design.

Inside and Outside Viewpoints

The candle and star look outward from a warm interior. The tree and wreath look inward from the snowy outdoors. That paired structure gives the set a coherent story while still providing four distinct images.

Art and Design

USPS art director Ethel Kessler designed the issue using original artwork by William Low. The illustrations focus on evening light, snow and the contrast between outdoor winter and indoor warmth.

Why the Listing Contains Five Booklets

USPS printed and sold this issue only as complete 20-stamp booklets. Five official booklets equal the stated 100 stamps and preserve the original five-of-each distribution.

Mailing Use

Each genuine, unused stamp covers the current one-ounce First-Class Mail letter rate. The 2016 issue date does not reduce its postal value. A heavier, square, rigid, oversized or international mailpiece can require additional postage.

Who This Design Suits

Christmas cards and winter correspondence
Secular seasonal mail that avoids a single religious motif
Businesses seeking a coordinated four-design set
Buyers who need 100 stamps rather than one booklet
