What “Freedom” Means on This Stamp

“Freedom” is part of the 2023 flag artwork and also matches the Maine city where the stamp was first issued. It is not a separate postage class. The words “FOREVER / USA” identify the stamp’s postage value, so a Freedom stamp and another ordinary domestic Forever stamp provide the same postage value when both are genuine and unused.

Original USPS Formats

USPS produced the same design in a pane of 20, a double-sided booklet of 20, and coils of 100, 3,000, and 10,000. A reseller’s purchase quantity may combine or divide original formats. Use the option and product images on this page to confirm the exact count and packaging included in your order.

Postage Value and Collecting Value

For mailing, each genuine unused 2023 Freedom Forever stamp pays the current one-ounce domestic First-Class Mail letter rate. Its original 2023 sale price does not cap its present postage value. Collector or resale value is a separate question and depends on format, condition, plate markings, quantity, and actual comparable sales; the word “Freedom” alone does not create a premium.

Good Uses for This Design

Everyday bills, statements, business correspondence, and personal letters.
Patriotic mailings, civic events, military-family correspondence, and national holidays.
Collectors comparing modern flag issues or original pane, booklet, and coil formats.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Freedom stamps the same as Forever stamps?

The 2023 U.S. Flag design with the word “Freedom” is a Forever stamp. “Freedom” names part of the artwork; “FOREVER / USA” identifies its postage value.

How much is a 2023 Freedom Forever stamp worth?

For postage, a genuine unused stamp is worth the current ordinary Forever rate. A collectible market value cannot be determined without the exact format, condition, quantity, markings, and comparable sales.

Can I still use 2023 Freedom stamps?

Yes. Genuine unused 2023 Freedom Forever stamps remain valid for the current one-ounce domestic First-Class Mail letter rate.
