What the stamp looks like

The stamp crops closely into a photograph of the U.S. flag so the folds and movement fill the design. “USA” and “FOREVER” appear along the bottom. Greg Breeding designed the stamp using an existing photograph by Tom Grill; Terrence W. McCaffrey served as art director.

Why the roll format matters

USPS released the design in several formats, including booklets of 10 and 20, an ATM sheetlet of 18, and coils of 100. This product is the 100-stamp roll, not five booklets or a loose mixed bundle. The official coil format makes it practical for repeated mailing and compatible dispensers.

Mailing use

Each genuine unused stamp remains valid for the current one-ounce domestic First-Class Mail letter rate. The 2017 issue originally sold at the then-current 49-cent rate, but its Forever value rises with the applicable one-ounce letter price. Heavier, square, rigid, oversized, or international mail can require additional postage.

Who this roll fits

• Businesses or households preparing repeated domestic letters.
• Mailers who prefer a neutral patriotic design throughout the year.
• Buyers specifically looking for the original 100-stamp coil format.
