The 2012 Santa and Sleigh Forever Stamps tell one continuous Christmas Eve story across four connected designs. Santa’s sleigh and reindeer move over snow-covered rooftops, making the set a classic choice for holiday cards and seasonal correspondence.
What you receive
- 100 genuine USPS-issued Forever stamps
- 5 double-sided booklets of 20
- Four horizontal designs that form a single scene
- Self-adhesive First-Class Mail postage
The four-design Santa scene
The artwork is arranged as a block of four. Viewed together, the stamps show Santa and his reindeer circling above a snowy town. The sequence works as one illustration, but every stamp is valid and usable on its own.
Illustrator Paul Rogers created the imagery. Howard E. Paine served as art director, designer, and typographer. The issue also coincided with the centennial of the postal Operation Santa tradition.

Are 2012 Santa stamps still valid?
Yes. Unused Santa and Sleigh stamps remain valid for the current one-ounce First-Class Mail letter rate because they are Forever stamps. Their original 45-cent purchase price does not limit their present postal value. Add postage when an envelope is heavier, oversized, square, rigid, or subject to another surcharge.
Best uses and handling
These designs suit Christmas cards, family newsletters, gift acknowledgments, holiday invitations, and seasonal business mail. For a coordinated appearance, use different designs from the sequence across a batch of envelopes. Store unused booklets flat and dry, away from direct sunlight and heat.
Official USPS references
