Postage and use

Each unused stamp remains valid for the current one-ounce First-Class Mail letter rate. Add postage for mail that is heavier, oversized, square, rigid, or nonmachinable.

The winter scenes work well for holiday cards and nature-themed correspondence. Compare the brighter 2014 Songbirds Forever Stamps for a nonseasonal option.
