Issue and Listing Facts

Mailing Use

Each genuine, unused stamp carries the current one-ounce First-Class Mail letter-rate value—82 cents as of July 12, 2026. The design does not change the postage requirement. A finished piece that is heavier, larger, square, rigid, nonstandard, international, or sent with an added service can require additional postage.

When the completed envelope is outside the ordinary letter format, use the postage decision guide before mailing.

Four Emilio Sanchez Artworks

USPS issued the Emilio Sanchez stamps on June 10, 2021, in a pane of 20 with four designs. This listing contains five complete panes for 100 stamps.

Architecture, Light, and Shadow

The four designs reproduce Los Toldos (1973), Ty’s Place (1976), En el Souk (1972), and Untitled (Ventanita entreabierta) (1981). USPS describes Sanchez’s work as using light and shadow to emphasize the abstract geometry of architectural subjects.

The issue marked the centennial of Sanchez’s birth. USPS identified him as the first Cuban American artist whose work was honored on a U.S. postage stamp. The pane selvage includes a 1993 photograph of the artist sketching in his New York City loft.

Five Complete Art Panes

Each official pane contains 20 stamps across four designs and was designated not to be split. Five complete panes produce this listing’s 100-stamp total.
