The horse-mask design

Camille Chew built the three-dimensional horse mask from hand-printed paper, then cut, scored, folded and decorated it with acrylic paint, flowers and tassels. The photographed mask recalls the elaborate masks seen in Lunar New Year dragon and lion dances while using a contemporary paper-craft approach. Foil stamping adds reflective detail to the printed issue.

2026 Horse versus the 2024 Horses issue

Issue	How to recognize it	Purpose
2026 Lunar New Year: Year of the Horse	One frontal, colorful paper horse mask; Lunar New Year series	Celebrates the 2026 zodiac year
2024 Horses	Four separate horse photographs	General equestrian theme, not a zodiac issue

Postage use

Each is a domestic Forever stamp and supplies the current First-Class Mail one-ounce letter value. The 2026 year does not limit future use. Additional postage is needed for heavier, nonmachinable, oversized or international mailpieces.
